Overview

The 2026 VX Deluxe is the most affordable craft in the world’s best-selling series of personal watercraft - the VX WaveRunner.

This craft offers class-leading versatility and light-weight performance, with many of the features available in the high-end models within the VX range.

This VX Deluxe comes with Yamaha’s award-winning 1049cc, TR-1 High Output marine engine that is both lightweight and powerful and two-piece sports seat, for single, two or three-up riding.

Above the water line the VX deck delivers improved rider ergonomics and comfort with deep and wide, self-draining footwells and a seat profile that is 4 centimetres narrower than its predecessor.

The dashboard comes with a 4.3” Connext LCD display with customisable speed and PIN security controls, a multi-mount system for attaching your favourite digital accessories, a user-friendly and water resistant storage space for packing all your gear, food and essentials, and a feature packed glove box with charging ports and LED lighting.

Key Features

1 Litre High Output TR-1 Engine

This three-cylinder, 1049cc High Output engine delivers 13% more horsepower than its predecessor, while delivering reductions in weight, size and fuel consumption. Combined with a 155mm jet pump, this engine delivers quick acceleration, higher top-end speeds, outstanding fuel economy and a more exciting ride.

Sports Seat

The sports seat has been designed to comfortably seat up to three people. The narrower seat profile is ergonomically designed and textured for improved grip and comfort. Separation of the front and rear sections makes maintenance and access to under-seat storage easy.

Feature Packed Glove Box

The large VX glove box provides 16.5 litres of useable storage, it also includes a dedicated area for your phone, USB and 12V power outlets and blue LED illumination to make finding your personal belongings easier.

Large Rear Platform

Roomy and comfortable, the large rear platform is the ideal place for soaking up the surroundings, getting in and out of the water or simply doing nothing at all. The decking platform is fitted with Hydro-Turf mats for optimum looks, grip and comfort.

Hull and Deck

The deck design delivers improved rider ergonomics with deep and wide footwells and the narrow seat provides strong knee grip and more comfort. The hull features Yamaha's cutting-edge deeper V-shape Keel, modified hull strakes and softer bow chines, delivering excellent stability, nimble handling and precise responsiveness.

Self Draining Footwells

Connext Helm Control

The VX Series, features a modern dash instrumentation including Yamaha’s 4.3” Connext Helm Control with a multi-colour LCD display. A touchpad control that is mounted next to the steering column provides convenient access to the Connext system’s many functions. These include a PIN code security system that eliminates the need for an external remote fob, and DRIVE Control that allows you to set top speeds at different increments along with other speed settings.

Multi-Mount System

The multi-mount system makes it easy to affix your favourite digital accessories, such as phone, action camera, GPS, fish finder or speakers. Mounts sold separately. *Prior year model colour shown.

Large Storage Capacity

The VX comes with heaps of storage including a large bow storage compartment with space for a dedicated cooler bag, a watertight glove box and water resistant storage under the seat, delivering a massive 114 Litres of storage. *Prior year model colour shown.

Reboarding Step

The VX Deluxe includes twin reboarding handles and an extra-deep ergonomically designed soft-touch reboarding step, making climbing back on board extra easy and safe.

RiDE Dual Control System

Yamaha’s patented RiDE is the world's first dual throttle handlebar control system, that makes handling easy, fun and intuitive. Pull the right lever to accelerate and the left lever to decelerate and for reverse. Release both levers, or in any combination, and the system reacts with precise control.

Cruise Assist / No Wake Mode

Cruise Assist allows the rider to set a consistent engine speed, helping to reduce throttle fatigue, improve fuel efficiency and help make longer trips more comfortable. The No Wake Mode caps the engine’s RPMs at an optimum idle speed, for travelling through no-wake zones and other restricted areas. *Prior year model colour shown.

70 Litre Fuel Capacity

Packed with 70 litres of fuel capacity, the VX WaveRunner series mean business. A big fuel tank capacity and exceptional efficiency means you spend less time filling up and more time out on the water.

Integrated Dual Mirrors

Incorporating Yamaha’s trademark compact and edgy design styling, the integrated mirrors not only look good but aid rider visual awareness and overall safety.

Tow Hook

The strong tow hook allows the craft to securely tow an inflatable tube, wake boarder or skier for additional on-water thrills and spills.

Open Loop Cooling System

All Yamaha WaveRunners utilise an open loop cooling system, as used by 99% of marine manufacturers. This system is proven to be the most effective, reliable and maintenance free solution for marine environments, which means less maintenance, costs and time off the water.
